Modern Slavery & Ethical Statement

Modern Slavery & Ethical Statement

1. Introduction
EPC Hub is committed to conducting business responsibly, ethically, and with integrity. We oppose all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking. This Modern Slavery & Ethical Statement sets out our zero-tolerance stance and our commitment to ensuring that slavery and human trafficking are not present within our operations or supply chains.

2. Scope
This statement applies to EPC Hub, its employees, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and partners. All parties engaged with EPC Hub are expected to comply with this policy.

3. Leadership & Accountability
The Directors of EPC Hub take ultimate responsibility for compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Oversight is delegated to a designated compliance officer/committee reporting to the Board.
This statement will be formally reviewed and approved annually by the Board and referenced in EPC Hub’s annual board/shareholder reports.

4. Due Diligence, Risk Mapping & Supply Chains
EPC Hub conducts risk mapping across its operations and supply chains to identify areas of potential concern.
All suppliers must complete a due diligence questionnaire during onboarding.
EPC Hub may use government watchlists, NGO reports, or industry risk assessments to identify higher-risk suppliers.
EPC Hub reserves the right to audit suppliers, including via third-party audits.
Suppliers must cascade these obligations down their own supply chains (“contractual flow-down”).

5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
EPC Hub tracks indicators such as:
- Percentage of suppliers risk-assessed annually.
- Percentage of staff trained and certified in anti-slavery compliance.
- Timeliness of remediation actions.

6. Benchmarking & Industry Standards
EPC Hub aligns with recognised international frameworks including:
- UN Global Compact principles.
- International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions.
- OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.

7. Consequences of Breach
EPC Hub may immediately terminate contracts, claim damages, and recover costs if a supplier, contractor, or partner breaches this statement.
EPC Hub may support suppliers at risk through remediation plans but reserves the right to terminate if corrective action is not taken.

8. Training & Awareness
All EPC Hub staff and contractors must complete training on recognising and reporting modern slavery risks.
Employees must confirm annually that they have read and understood this statement.
EPC Hub encourages suppliers to deliver equivalent training to their staff.

9. Reporting Concerns & Whistleblowing
Employees, suppliers, and third parties are encouraged to report concerns via [insert contact email] or through EPC Hub’s designated external reporting channel.
EPC Hub will protect whistleblowers under UK law.
Concerns may be escalated internally through defined channels if initial handling is unsatisfactory.
EPC Hub may report suspected breaches to regulators or law enforcement.

10. Record-Keeping, Transparency & Engagement
EPC Hub maintains detailed records of due diligence checks, risk assessments, audits, and reported concerns.
Suppliers must provide annual self-certification of compliance.
EPC Hub may publish an annual compliance update summarising actions taken.
EPC Hub will engage with stakeholders, NGOs, and regulators to strengthen industry-wide anti-slavery initiatives.
